TERRAPIN HOUSE INC is seeking a compassionate Weekend Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Harrisburg, PA. The candidate will provide weekend support for individuals in their homes and communities while encouraging their independence and confidence.

This role requires patience, emotional regulation, and clear communication skills to assist in community engagement and personal growth. The ideal candidate should have relevant experience, especially in supporting individuals with autism or developmental disabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP).
• Experience in behavioral or emotional support.
• Experience in life coaching or mentoring.
• Experience in autism or intellectual/developmental disability support.

Responsabilités

• Provide supportive companionship and guidance during weekend activities.
• Assist with community engagement and recreational outings.
• Support independence, decision-making, and personal growth.
• Use positive support strategies and encouraging communication.
• Help build daily living, social, and coping skills through coaching.
• Maintain documentation and communicate with the support team.

Weekend DSP / Life Skills Support Professional
