Job summary

Open Arms Care is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living more independently and developing life skills. You’ll contribute to a safe, positive home environment, provide hands-on care, and accompany clients to activities within the community.

Full-time, with 2nd shift options (12p-8p) or 8a-8p, weekends required. Paid orientation, sign-on bonus, and ongoing training are offered to support career growth and

Qualifications

• Compassion and reliability.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• CPR (within 30 days of hire) & PCM certification (within 60 days)—training provided.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on support, such as bathing, dressing, meals, and mobility needs—always with dignity and respect.
• Support daily living and independence skills.
• Coach, mentor, and advocate for individuals.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and positive home environment.
• Transport and accompany individuals to appointments, outings, and community events.
• Engage clients in fun and meaningful activities within the home and in the community.
• Keep accurate records of progress and activities.
• Work as part of a supportive and mission-driven team.
