ICL is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide direct care in a residential setting for adults with developmental and/or physical disabilities in Brooklyn, NY. You will support daily living needs and help individuals develop vocational, social, nutritional, and personal skills to maximize independence.

Under supervision, DSPs perform a range of routine tasks and must obtain AMAP, SCIP‑R, CPR and First Aid certifications within six months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; DSP certificate preferred.
• Experience delivering direct care to adults with disabilities preferred.
• AMAP, SCIP‑R, CPR and First Aid certifications required or obtainable within 6 months.
• Valid US driver’s license with clean driving record may be required.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsabilités

• Provide personal care and health support, including hygiene, grooming, medication administration per AMAP, vital signs and appointments.
• Support nutrition and mealtime activities; meal prep and safe food handling.
• Maintain a safe, clean residential environment and perform light maintenance.
• Promote independence and community integration through skill-building and transportation support.
• Encourage positive relationships, communication, money management and leisure activities.
• Observe, document and report progress; participate in planning and staff meetings.
• Apply behavior management techniques and respond to emergencies; perform related duties.
