Job summary

Friendship Community Care is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Hope, AR to work on an interdisciplinary team delivering quality services in home and community settings. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or two+ years’ experience working with developmentally disabled individuals.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and document client progress accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assists Clients in basic living skills and daily personal tasks such as showers, dressing, housekeeping, grocery shopping, meal planning and budgeting.
• Provides transportation to activities and appointments; requires a valid Arkansas driver’s license.
• Maintains clear communication through logs, staff meetings, and documentation of client needs and progress.
• Completes required forms and documentation including behavioral reports, incidents, care sheets and progress notes.
• Follows medication guidelines and monitors documentation of procedures.
• Organizes recreational activities and models professional behavior and FCC dress code.
• Supports care planning and ensures health, safety and security are prioritized.
