Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two+ years' experience working with developmentally disabled individuals.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in basic living skills and daily personal tasks.
• Provide transportation to activities and appointments as needed.
• Maintain communication via logs and staff meetings with progress updates.
• Complete documentation such as behavioral reports, incident reports, and progress notes.
• Follow medication management guidelines and assist in monitoring procedures.
• Organize and carry out recreational activities for clients.
• Model respectful behavior and maintain appropriate appearance and conduct.
• Assist in facility and vehicle maintenance; ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Attend required training and complete ongoing education.
