Job summary

Project Redirect is seeking a Direct Support Professional for weekend shifts (8 am-8 pm and 8 pm-8 am Saturday and Sunday) to provide direct support and guidance to persons with disabilities in line with program policies.

This role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), at least one year of related experience, CPR and TME certification, a valid driver's license, and a commitment to empowering individuals to direct their own life choices.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• One year of experience with persons with disabilities or as required by regulations.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• CPR and TME certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to persons with disabilities and assist with personal centered goals.
• Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly home by following safety and infection control procedures; educate persons with disabilities about maintaining homes.
• Maintain and expand skills and knowledge relevant to providing high quality support and services.
• Obtain and maintain all required certifications and trainings and apply the information to support persons with disabilities served.
• Maintain open communication and cooperative work effort with Residential Program Manager and other staff to assure quality and consistency of support to persons with disabilities served.
• Support the Project Redirect Mission, Vision, and Core Values while empowering each person with disabilities to direct their own life choices.
• Report and/or document routine and unusual events including completing daily logs, accident reports, outcome data sheets, etc. in a concise, understandable, and legible manner.
• Assist persons with disabilities with fiscal management while safeguarding their funds. This may include completing ledgers, reconciling accounts and assisting people with spending choices.
• Ensure that persons with disabilities exercise their rights and that rights are not restricted without due process; ensure that persons with disabilities are treated with dignity and respect.
• Responsible for ensuring that all ISP’s and Behaviors programs are implemented and feedback given to the Residential Manager;
