Job summary

Center for Disability Services is seeking a Weekend Warrior Direct Support Professional to support residential programs with enhanced compensation. The role focuses on assisting and promoting independence in daily treatment, care, and services for individuals with disabilities.

Experience in developmental disabilities preferred; CI, CPR, and other certifications are required within 90 days. A NYS driver's license and a high school diploma are essential.

Qualifications

• Traveling to programs in the Capital Region area is required.
• Weekend Coverage -
• Must have specialized training - First Aid, CPR, SCIP-R, OPWDD Medication Administration Certification, and CFDS Authorized Driver within 90 days of employment.
• Must complete additional program specific training requirements during first six months of employment.
• Employee must maintain certifications continuously to remain in this position.
• NYS Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing elements of staff action plans and complete documentation.
• Promote independence, community inclusion, individualization and productivity while respecting personal choice, lifestyle and dignity.
• Must be flexible to work at any residential location as program and staffing needs change day-to-day.
