Job summary

Project Redirect Inc Of The Distric is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide person-centered supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential and community settings.

The DSP will assist with ISP planning, implement support plans, help with daily living activities, and support community participation while ensuring safety and HIPAA compliance. DDS regulations and program training are required.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
• Basic computer and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ISP information gathering and planning meetings.
• Implement ISP goals and approved support plans.
• Assist individuals with activities of daily living and medications as authorized.
• Promote independence, choice, dignity, and community inclusion.
• Support individuals in community activities, employment, and recreation.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment and follow infection control procedures.
• Observe, document, and report changes in health, behavior, or well-being.
• Complete required documentation including notes, records, and incident reports.
• Safeguard rights and ensure proper authorization for restrictions.
• Assist individuals with managing personal funds per agency policies.
• Maintain open communication with supervisors, families, and healthcare providers.
• Transport individuals to appointments and activities.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in trainings and meetings.
• Maintain certifications and apply training in practice.
