Job summary

PACS seeks a part-time weekend cook to manage and operate the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor. The role pays $18-$21 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities include preparing meals, following menus, maintaining sanitary conditions, and assisting with serving. Experience in hospital or long-term care settings preferred, with ServSafe certification required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year experience as a cook in a hospital or long-term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and cooking area in a safe, sanitary manner.
• Prepare meals in large quantities and follow menus.
• Follow prepared menus and portion control guides.
• Prepare pureed foods and assist with serving meals.
• Report resident care concerns to Supervisor and Nurses.
• Ensure cleaning schedules are followed and supervise in absence of Dietary Supervisor.
