Job summary

Aperion Care Evansville is seeking a Weekend Warrior – Dayshift LPN or RN to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants. You will ensure care aligns with federal, state, and local standards under the direction of the Director of Nursing.

Responsibilities include directing daily nursing activities, recording charting, administering medications, coordinating with interdepartmental staff, and maintaining a warm, calm unit environment while on shift.

Qualifications

• Active Indiana RN or LPN license.
• English language fluency required.
• Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, standards and regulations.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day nursing activities and supervise nursing assistants.
• Prepare and file records; transcribe orders and chart nursing notes.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered.
• Coordinate with interdepartmental staff to ensure quality nursing care.
• Provide IV care and monitor safety in unit operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
