Job summary

Aperion Care Wesley is seeking a dedicated Weekend Warrior Nurse (RN) to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants. You will work every weekend, Friday through Sunday, ensuring the highest quality care is maintained at all times.

Responsibilities include directing nursing staff, admitting and discharging residents, charting notes, preparing medications, and ensuring privacy and confidentiality of resident information.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current unencumbered state licensure.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, speak English and make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants and provide leadership to nursing personnel assigned to your unit/shift.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required, and complete and file required recordkeeping forms/charts.
• Chart nurse's notes in an informative and descriptive manner, and fill out and complete accident/incident reports as needed.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician, and develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel.
• Monitor and ensure that nursing care is provided in privacy, and maintain confidentiality of all resident care information.
