Jaybird Senior Living is seeking a Culinary Assistant to support dining services, kitchen, and related areas for residents. You will help prepare dining spaces, serve meals, maintain sanitation, and ensure HIPAA privacy and safety standards are followed.

Qualifications

• Good communication, organization and listening skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Basic problem-solving and willingness to follow supervision.
• Preference for experience in elderly care or hospitality settings.
• Commitment to food safety and hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up the dining room for meals; serve residents and transport food to other dining areas.
• Set and clear tables, wash dishes, and clean kitchen and dining spaces per schedules.
• Maintain sanitation and hygiene; use PPE and follow hair covering and hand protection rules.
• Report unsafe conditions and respond to alarms or emergencies as needed.
• Participate in staff meetings and bi-weekly in-services; contribute to safety committees.
• Assist with scheduled activities and special events as requested.
• Complete incident reports and work orders; protect resident and coworker privacy (HIPAA).
• Follow Policies & Procedures and comply with state regulations for assisted living.
