Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a CT Technologist to prepare patients and perform routine CT scans in accordance with physicians' orders and the CT procedure manual.

The role requires ARRT and/or NMTCB certification, CPR, and minimum six months of CT experience, with eligibility for cross-training in MRI. You will deliver high-quality images and support radiologists with timely interpretations, while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology and/or NMTCB (CNMT) registered and documented training on the provision of diagnostic CT exams required.
• Advanced level certification by the ARRT or NMTCB in computed tomography required within one year of hire date.
• Six months' relevant experience required (minimum of three in CT Scan OR completion of cross-training program).
• American Heart Association CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for CT examinations by confirming orders, verifying identities, and obtaining medical histories.
• Performs CT examinations on all patient ages and maintains competency through annual orientation.
• Maintains a safe environment with radiation safety practices for patients and staff.
• Interacts with students and supports cross-training programs within the CT section.
• Monitors supplies and records data to support billing and department operations.
• Participates in PDCA-based performance improvement activities.
