Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a CT Technologist to prepare patients and perform routine CT examinations under physicians’ orders, producing high-quality images for timely radiologist interpretation.

Qualifications include ARRT or NMTCB registration, CPR, and at least six months’ CT-related experience (with cross-training acceptable). The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, teamwork, and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology and/or NMTCB registered for CT exams.
• Advanced level certification by ARRT or NMTCB in CT required within one year of hire.
• Six months’ relevant experience required (CT preferred or cross-training completed).
• American Heart Association CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for CT exams by verifying orders, identities, and histories.
• Performs CT exams across age groups and maintains competency with annual orientation.
• Maintains radiation safety and follows shielding principles to protect patients and staff.
• Mentors students and supports CT cross-training programs at MWHC.
• Manages supplies to ensure uninterrupted CT services.
• Documents patient and procedure data for accurate billing and record keeping.
