Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a CT Technologist to prepare patients, verify orders, and perform CT examinations across patient ages, delivering high-quality images for radiologist interpretation.

You will adhere to safety standards, support training of students, manage supplies, and participate in performance improvement initiatives while ensuring accurate documentation and timely billing.

Qualifications

• ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology or NMTCB CNMT.
• Advanced CT certification within 1 year of hire.
• Minimum six months of relevant CT experience (or completion of cross-training).
• CPR certification required by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for CT exams by confirming orders and verifying identity.
• Perform CT procedures across all ages and maintain competency.
• Adhere to radiation safety and department policies for safe patient care.
• Supervise and train student radiology associates in CT.
• Maintain supplies and inventory to ensure uninterrupted service.
• Document patient and procedural data for accurate billing.
• Engage in PDCA-based performance improvement activities.
• Administer and select contrast agents per guidelines.
• Meet age-specific patient needs identified in qualifications.
