Qualifications

• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (R) Upon Hire, Required
• Certified CT Technologist ARRT (R)(CT), Preferred
• BLS certification within 60 days, Required
• Licensure in state of practice, Upon Hire, Required
• IV competency within 90 days, Required
• For Colorado roles, fluoroscopy certification preferred
• Level II minimum: 3 years CT hospital experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT competency in all clinical and technical functions
• Operate CT equipment and information systems to produce quality images
• Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and prepare patient
• Perform exams per department protocol
• Review images for quality and accuracy including anatomical structures
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain safety
• Complete studies within department time expectations without compromising care
• Provide patient education and address concerns
• Coordinate patient care and communicate with other providers
• Stay updated with CT technology and participate in continuing education
• Instruct students and other radiology staff on protocols and equipment
