Job summary

The role requires ARRT (R) CT registration, BLS, and state licensure. Prefer 3+ years in a hospital CT setting, with opportunities to mentor students and staff within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (R) upon hire, required.
• Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (R)(CT), preferred.
• BLS within 60 days, required.
• Licensure in state of practice as applicable, upon hire, required.
• IV competency within 90 days, required.
• For CO caregivers, fluoroscopy certification, preferred.
• 1-2 years CT experience in hospital setting, preferred.
• Level II: 3+ years CT experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT competency and operate CT equipment to produce quality images.
• Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and exam preparation.
• Perform exams per department protocol and review images for quality and accuracy.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Complete studies within time limits while maintaining patient care quality.
• Provide patient education and address patient/family concerns.
• Coordinate patient care and communicate with other providers.
• Stay updated with CT technology through continuing education.
• Instruct students and radiology staff on protocols and equipment.
