Job summary

Minimum requirements include ARRT CT certification and BLS within 60 days, with 3+ years of CT experience preferred for Level II. The role supports ongoing education and student instruction in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• ARRT-certified CT technologist (CT) required upon hire.
• BLS certification within 60 days, required.
• State licensure as applicable upon hire, required.
• IV competency within 90 days, required.
• 3+ years CT experience in hospital setting preferred for Level II.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT competency in all clinical functions.
• Operate CT equipment and related information systems to produce quality images.
• Ensure proper patient identification and prepare the patient for exams.
• Perform exams per department protocol and time expectations.
• Review images for quality, ensuring all structures are captured.
• Adhere to radiation safety and maintain a safe environment.
• Provide patient education and address concerns; ensure comfort.
• Coordinate patient care and communicate with care providers.
• Stay updated on CT tech advancements through continuing education.
• Instruct students and other technologists in protocols and positioning.
