Job summary

Atrium Health Navicent The Medical Center in Macon, GA is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT image acquisition, processing, and archiving under indirect supervision. You will ensure patient safety, position patients, and explain procedures in alignment with CT protocols.

You will collaborate with radiologists, manage data in the radiology information system, and maintain accurate billing documentation while adhering to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High School or GED diploma required.
• Graduate of AMA, JRC or regionally accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT Registered or Registry eligible as per policy.
• ARRT CT registry required in accordance with work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform acquisition, processing, submission for interpretation and archiving of CT images.
• Care for the patient while in the CT department.
• Position patients and demonstrate cross-sectional anatomy per CT protocols.
• Communicate with patients to explain procedures and obtain clinical history.
• Review imaging requests for appropriateness and consult radiologists as needed.
• Enter patient and study data into the radiology information system and document billing codes.

Education
