Job summary

Willowbrook Hills is looking for a Weekend Cook to join our growing team for Saturdays and Sundays. The right candidate will have experience as a Cook and the ability to organize and multi-task.Responsibilities include preparing soups, stocks, sauces, and all menu items per standardized recipes, planning production around meal hours, and ensuring quality, temperature and appearance. Candidates must read and follow instructions in English and have at least three years of cook experience.

Qualifications

• Three years of cook experience in hospitality (hotel/restaurant/club).
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
• Ability to plan and organize work; interpret recipes and standards.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepares or directs the preparation of all food served, following standard recipes and special diet orders.
• Prepare soups, stocks, sauces; boils, braises and roast items per standardized recipes.
• Prepares and serves all sauteed, fried, grilled, steamed and baked items per standardized recipes.
• Plans food production to coordinate with meal serving hours, ensuring quality, temperature and appearance.
• Determines amount and type of food and supplies required for daily menus and ensures timely procurement.
• Maintain dependability and punctuality as outlined in Attendance Policy.
