Willow Pines Retirement in Michigan is seeking a Weekend Cook to join our scratch-based kitchen. You will prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturdays and Sundays, ensuring meals are safely cooked, visually appealing, and portioned to resident preferences.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work every Saturday and Sunday, minimum 8 hours per day.
• Ability to read, speak and understand basic English.
• Experience in kitchen preparation and cooking preferred.
• Ability to secure food handler permits within two weeks of first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present high-quality dishes by cooking a wide variety of proteins and vegetables.
• Engage in continuous improvement by contributing ideas during meetings and staying open to feedback.
• Complete all opening and closing tasks for each shift and support teammates to maintain a clean, safe kitchen.
• Keep stations fully stocked and well organized, refreshing pantry items and monitoring refrigeration.
• Ensure a sanitary kitchen environment by cleaning areas and recording temperatures for safety and satisfaction.
