Job summary
Marvin is seeking a Weekend Controls Technician to troubleshoot and repair production machines, including PLC programming changes, to improve production reliability. The role trains on day shift for up to 2 months before transitioning to the Weekend shift, with a Friday–Sunday 6:00am–6:00pm schedule and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.
The position requires 2+ years in a related role, an associate’s degree preferred, and licenses for forklift and aerial work platforms.
Qualifications
- 2+ years in a closely related role preferred
- Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred
- Must obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses
- Experience with Enterprise Asset Management software and MS Office required
Responsibilities
- Observe equipment to detect hazards and service needs
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems
- Document repairs and preventative maintenance in EAM and plant systems
- Set up and adjust servo and VFD operations
- Perform basic motor troubleshooting on servo and DC/induction motors
- Collaborate with CEPG on machine improvements
- Maintain backups of PLC programs and device parameters
