Job summary

Marvin is seeking a Weekend Controls Technician to manage advanced tasks on production equipment, troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and PLC problems, and implement repairs to improve reliability. This role will train on the day shift for up to two months before transitioning to weekend hours.

Qualifications

Associate degree strongly preferred.
2 years of related experience required.
Must obtain forklift and aerial licenses.
Enterprise Asset Management software experience desired.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite programs.

Responsibilities

Observe equipment to detect hazards, problems and the need for service, repair and/or replacement of electrical and mechanical components.
Troubleshoot and program PLC using Allen Bradley RS Logix 500/5000.
Document repairs and preventive maintenance in the EAM system.
Trace problems using electrical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic components.
Discuss performance issues and improvement ideas with technical staff.
Maintain backups of PLC and device programs.
Evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions.
Set up and operate basic servo controls and VFD parameters.
Collaborate with CEPG on machine improvements.
Assist with troubleshooting electrical problems plant-wide.
