Job summary

Automation Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled Weekend CNC Technician for a leading manufacturing facility in Smyrna, GA. The ideal candidate will have strong CNC setup and troubleshooting experience on mills or lathes, be able to read blueprint tolerances, and understand basic GD&T and G-Code/M-Code to diagnose machine issues.

This is a direct hire opportunity. Pay rate is $25.00–$30.00 per hour based on experience. Schedule is Friday–Sunday, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
CNC setup experience including tooling adjustments and offsets to maintain tolerance.
Hand-on experience with CNC mills or lathes; both not required.
Ability to read blueprints and interpret tolerance ranges.
Knowledge of GD&T symbols and basic G-Code/M-Code for troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Set up and troubleshoot CNC mills or lathes to maintain production, dimensional accuracy, and quality.
Read blueprints, interpret tolerance ranges, and inspect parts with precision measuring equipment.
Adjust tooling, offsets, and machine settings to keep parts in tolerance.
Monitor production, perform quality checks, and interpret GD&T symbols.
Train and support machine operators and communicate production concerns.
Complete production documentation and maintain an organized work area.
Support safety, continuous improvement, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
