Job summary

GLOCK, Inc. in Smyrna, GA is seeking a CNC Technician I for the 3rd shift to oversee metal part manufacturing and ensure conformance to blueprints.

You will adjust machine settings, read drawings, perform quality checks, train operators, and support Lean initiatives while maintaining safety and productivity. Regular attendance and basic CNC knowledge required; GED or high school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• Leadership, communication, and critical thinking are essential for coordinating CNC operations.
• Experience with CNC and metal machining processes is preferred.
• Able to read blueprints and use precision measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Adjust machine settings and tools; analyze part measurements.
• Ensure production and quality output for the assigned area.
• Read blueprints to verify dimensional conformance; review measurement reports.
• Perform re-works on/off machine.
• Understand G & M code basics and fixturing.
• Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and programming issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of quantities.
• Deburr parts with hand tools and perform visual inspections.
• Train operators on SOPs and inspection details.
• Communicate issues to supervisors and other CNC techs.
• Support Lean activities (TPM, 5S, Kan-Ban).
• Lead a team of Machine Operators.
• Maintain regular attendance.
