Job summary

OPW, a Dover Corporation subsidiary, is seeking a Weekend Shift Machine Operator in Whitsett, NC. The role involves running CNC mills and lathes to fabricate valve and regulator parts, reading blueprints, and performing quality checks while maintaining safety and equipment.

You will work weekends with overtime as needed. The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of CNC experience, is skilled with precision measurement tools, and can read blueprints.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years' experience running CNC machines (various brands)
• Experience using Go/No-go gauges, calipers, micrometers, height gauges and other measuring tools
• Ability to read blueprints and understand tool layouts
• Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, and basic shop mathematics
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and perform repetitive tasks
• Commitment to safety procedures and quality standards

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mill and lathe machines to produce valve and regulator parts
• Read blueprints and load bars into bar feeders
• Perform quality checks with gauging equipment and ensure coolant flow
• Conduct basic machine maintenance and deburring
• Work safely and follow all safety procedures
