Job summary

OPW Global in Whitsett, NC is seeking an experienced CNC machine operator to run mills and lathes, read blueprints, and produce valve and regulator components with precision and safety in mind. You will inspect parts with calipers, micrometers, and gauges, load bars, ensure coolant flow, perform light maintenance, and document quality checks.

Schedule is Monday through Thursday, 3:00 pm to 1:00 am, with overtime as needed; the job requires lifting up to 45 pounds and adapting to a fast-paced

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Machining or trade school training preferred.
Ability to read blueprints a plus.
Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
Strong math skills and shop arithmetic.
Commitment to safety and quality.
Team player with adaptability.

Responsibilities

Run CNC mills and lathes to produce valve and regulator components.
Read blueprints and set up machines for operations.
Perform quality checks with gauging equipment; use calipers and micrometers.
Perform minor preventative maintenance and keep work area clean.
Load bars into bar feeders and ensure coolant flow.
Follow all safety procedures and participate in continuous improvement.
