Job summary

OPW in Whitsett, NC is seeking an experienced CNC machine operator for weekend shifts (Friday–Sunday, 7:00 am–7:00 pm) with overtime as needed. You will run CNC mills and lathes to produce valve and regulator parts, read blueprints, inspect parts with gauges, and perform basic maintenance in a safety-conscious, production-driven environment.

The role requires 3–5+ years of CNC experience, ability to read blueprints, and a strong commitment to quality and safety.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years' experience running CNC machines.
• Experience using Go/No-go gauges, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to set up and operate manual and CNC mills/lathe.
• Commitment to safety and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mill and lathe to produce valve and regulator parts.
• Read blueprints and verify dimensions with gauging tools.
• Load bars into bar feeders and ensure coolant flow.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and deburring.
• Maintain safety practices and quality checks.
