Job summary

Homewood Living Williamsport is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to provide daily living activities for residents under licensed staff supervision. The role focuses on personal care, hygiene, feeding assistance, and documentation to support care plans.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, active Maryland CNA-I certification.
• CNA-II certification does not meet requirements.
• Ability to lift and transfer 30 pounds frequently.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and turn during an 8-hour shift.
• Organizational skills and ability to perform sequential events.
• Listed on the state registry as a Nursing Assistant within 120 days of employment.
• Motivation and desire to work with geriatric persons.
• Ability to speak and read/write English to carry out care plans.

Responsibilities

• Treats all information about residents as confidential.
• Complies with policies and maintains established standards and practices.
• Assists with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing and dressing.
• Provides clean linen and makes beds to meet resident needs.
• Encourages proper nutrition and assists with feeding when necessary.
• Performs resident treatments as assigned within nursing scope.
• Records resident information accurately and reports changes.
• Participates in resident care planning.
• Promotes activities of daily living per care plan.
• Transfers per the care plan and Lift Free Program.
• Performs other duties as directed by the supervisor.
