Job summary

Homewood Living Williamsport is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant (CNA-I) to provide daily living activities and care under licensed staff supervision. The role emphasizes confidentiality, safety, and adherence to care plans within a weekend-optional schedule.

Responsibilities include assisting residents with hygiene, feeding, and mobility, recording observations, and actively participating in care planning. Must hold Maryland CNA-I certification and communicate effectively in English.

Qualifications

• Able to lift and transfer 30 pounds frequently.
• Stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn during an 8-hour shift.
• Organizational skills and ability to perform sequential tasks.
• Listed on the state registry as a Nursing Assistant within 120 days of employment.
• Motivation to work with geriatric persons.
• Ability to speak English to residents.
• Read and write English to carry out care plans.

Responsibilities

• Treat all resident information as confidential.
• Follow policies and maintain standards.
• Assist with hygiene and daily living tasks.
• Provide clean linen and make beds.
• Support proper resident nutrition and feeding.
• Perform resident treatments as assigned.
• Record observations accurately and report changes.
• Participate in resident care planning.
• Promote activities of daily living per care plan.
• Lift Free Program guidelines followed for transfers.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.
