Job summary

Homewood Retirement Centers in Williamsport, MD, is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide daily living care under licensed supervision. The role carries hourly pay and requires lifting residents, assisting with hygiene, feeding, and reporting observations.

Qualifying candidates will be listed on the state nursing assistant registry within 120 days of employment and must be capable of standing for long periods, lifting up to 30 pounds, and following care plans.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and transfer 30 pounds frequently throughout shift.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach during an 8-hour shift.
• Must be listed on the state registry as a Nursing Assistant within 120 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Treats all information about residents, their condition, and family as confidential information.
• Complies with established policies and procedures, and maintains standards.
• Assists in personal hygiene such as bathing, shaving, and clothing changes.
• Provides clean, dry linen and makes beds.
• Encourages proper nutrition by serving food promptly and assisting with feeding.
• Performs resident treatments as assigned within nursing scope.
• Records resident information concisely and reports changes to the Team Leader.
• Participates in resident care planning and adheres to care plans.
