Advocate Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Med Surg department in Green Bay, WI. The role supports daily patient care under RN supervision and requires basic skills, good communication, and reliability.

Full-time, 36 hours weekly, night shifts, weekend rotation, and comprehensive benefits. Responsibilities include vital signs, patient care tasks, documentation, patient transfers, and coordination with care teams.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
• Certification Addendum governs ongoing hospital certifications (e.g. DNV, CARF).

Responsabilités

• Assists RN with daily patient care including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation.
• Measures and documents vital signs and intake/output; records in EMR.
• Performs rounding and communicates patient observations to RN.
• Participates in admission, transfer and discharge processes under supervision.
• Collects specimens and performs point-of-care testing as indicated.
• Executes errands and manages nursing area supplies and equipment.
• Assists with patient positioning, transfers and dietary needs.
• Maintains skin integrity and provides required patient care equipment.
• Removes IVs and performs post‑mortem care as required by site rules.
• Adheres to infection control policies and proper PPE usage.
• Ensures age-appropriate patient care and supports life-span development needs.
