Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for a weekend-only hospital role. The position offers three 12-hour shifts (Friday–Saturday) and a $10,000 sign-on bonus paid at 6, 12, 18, and 24 months.

The Clinical Pharmacist will collaborate with the healthcare team to provide safe, evidence-based therapy, serve as a drug information resource, and ensure regulatory compliance while supporting education for staff and patients. Mercy emphasizes growth and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Education: BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited school
• Licensure: Current pharmacist license in the state of practice
• Weekend-Only Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts (Fri–Sat)
• Collaborative, patient-centered work environment
• Experience with pharmacy information systems and medication safety

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders and patient records for therapy appropriateness
• Develop individualized medication care plans with attention to adverse effects
• Monitor drug therapies through chart review and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Consult with physicians, nurses, and patients about dosing, interactions, and side effects
• Document plans, interventions, and outcomes accurately
• Provide drug therapy recommendations and maintain subspecialty expertise
• Precept pharmacy students and residents, support continuing education
