Job summary

Treasure House seeks a disciplined, sincere assistant chef to oversee weekend food service and assist when the Executive Chef is off. You will prepare lunch and dinner, align meals with residents’ dietary needs, and collaborate with our registered dietitian and chef to ensure healthy, satisfying options.

The role emphasizes safety, sanitation, and resident-focused service within a respectful, politics-free environment.

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience in the culinary field.
• Comprehensive knowledge of safe, sanitary food handling procedures.
• Current Food Handlers Certification with ability to obtain a Food Managers Certification.
• Must clear Full Background Check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of residential food services on weekends and in the Executive Chef's absence.
• Prepare, cook, and serve lunch and dinner; coordinate with dietitian and chef on dietary needs.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation, safety standards, and inventory records.
• Support residents' dietary plans and ensure high resident satisfaction.
• Supervise culinary staff and ensure cost controls within budget.
