Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Central Processing Tech for Treasure Valley Labs. This part-time weekend shift invites candidates with phlebotomy/lab tech experience to contribute to high-quality lab processing.

Typical schedule includes Saturday 7:00 am to 2:45 pm and Sunday 7:00 am to 7:30 pm. You will handle specimen processing, billing coordination, and EMR test orders, under supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college education or associate degree preferred.
• Courses requiring lab work a plus.
• Prior experience working in a hospital setting or reference laboratory preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the central processing area of the clinical laboratory.
• Ensure quality and quantity of all inpatient and outpatient specimens for in‑house testing and reference laboratories.
• Register patient specimens received from outside locations.
• Work cooperatively with TVL laboratories for all specimens received for testing.
• Serve as a resource for laboratory test questions in the EMR.
