Position Summary & Highlights

We are seeking a Central Processing Tech for our Treasure Valley Labs located in Boise, Idaho. This is a Part‑time, Evening Shift position Monday through Friday. In this role you can make a difference by applying your current phlebotomy/Lab Tech experience and skills.

What You Will Do

• Perform and coordinate the activities of the central processing area of the clinical laboratory.
• Accountable for the quality and quantity of all inpatient and outpatient clinical laboratory specimens sent for in‑house testing as well as to reference laboratories.
• Handle billing functions for reference laboratories.
• Register patient specimens received from outside locations.
• Work cooperatively with TVL laboratories for all specimens received for testing.
• Serve as a resource for all clinical staff regarding laboratory test questions and ordering tests in the EMR.
• Report directly to the POCT Laboratory Coordinator.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college education or associate degree preferred.
• Courses requiring lab work a plus.
• Prior experience working in a hospital setting or reference laboratory preferred.

Schedule & Compensation

Part time, 20 hours per week. Market‑competitive pay, generous PTO, and comprehensive benefits beginning on day one.
