Job summary

Blue Ridge Community College in Augusta, VA is seeking a weekend CDL instructor to expand its Commercial Driving School. This part-time role trains students to earn their Class A CDL and helps place them in entry-level driving positions. May assist with Class B instruction.

The position is limited to 1500 hours in a 12-month period, has no benefits, and pays $30 to $45 per hour. BRCC offers orientation and training; educational assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL with full background check and driving record check.
• Knowledge of the commercial driving industry and DMV/DOT regulations.
• Good verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision.
• Experience with training/instruction and transportation logistics.

Responsibilities

• Train students to earn Class A CDL in weekend sessions.
• May assist with Class B instruction.
• Provide safe, professional training in accordance with DOT guidelines.
