Job summary

Blue Ridge Community College in Augusta, VA is seeking a weekend CDL instructor to expand its Commercial Driving School. This part-time role trains students to earn their Class A CDL and helps place them in entry-level driving positions. May assist with Class B instruction.

The position is limited to 1500 hours in a 12-month period, has no benefits, and pays $30 to $45 per hour. BRCC offers orientation and training; educational assistance may be available.

Are you interested in sharing your knowledge and talent with students by helping them earn their CDL? Blue Ridge Community College is looking for a weekend trainer to expand its successful Commercial Driving School. This is a part-time position assisting with training commercial driving students to earn their Class A CDL and gain entry-level positions in the commercial driving industry. May assist with Class B instruction. Only 2 - 4 students per instructional session. Weekend courses are up to 12 weeks long with the potential for three, 12-week sessions per year with breaks between sessions. Full orientation and training is included for all new instructors. Drug testing and medical certification as required by DOT guidelines.

This is a part-time wage position, limited to 1500 hours within a 12-month period, with no benefits. There is potential eligibility for educational assistance for BRCC classes and job-related training and/or certifications.
