Job summary

Georgia Piedmont Technical College seeks a part-time Commercial Truck Driver “A” Instructor to deliver CDL Class A training at the Regional Transportation Training Center across multiple counties. Instructors will teach courses, assess student progress, and maintain program standards.

The role requires three years of truck driving experience, a valid Class A CDL, and the ability to work evenings/weekends. This adjunct position does not include benefits and is scheduled per term based on class

Qualifications

• Three years current truck driving experience with large combination vehicles.
• Must have a clean MVR and a Class A CDL with no restrictions.
• Able to pass DOT physical and a drug screen.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in Commercial Truck Driving, in classroom/lab/field settings.
• Deliver CDL Class A training at GA Piedmont Technical College's four-county service area.
• Administer tests and evaluate student progress toward learning outcomes.
• Maintain certification requirements for the program and department.
• Collaborate with staff to discuss student instruction and progress.
