Job summary

Residence Inn Lincoln Downtown Haymarket is seeking a friendly Breakfast Attendant to prepare, present and maintain the morning service for guests. You will support a prompt, courteous breakfast experience and help ensure smooth kitchen operations.

You should be reliable, able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and work a varied schedule including weekends. Prior food service experience is a plus, and neat, professional appearance is required.

Qualifications

• Requires customer service skills.
• Prior food service experience is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of food/beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Must be neat, professional, and well-groomed.
• Must be able to visually inspect area, compare observations to standards and correct deficiencies.
• Ability to work weekends, and willing to work a varied schedule that may include evenings and nights.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move around during entire shift.
• Must have the ability to work with guests and respond immediately and accurately to their needs and requirements.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, present and clean up the morning breakfast service.
• Deliver prompt, friendly, and courteous service to guests.
• Complete closing duties, including storing reusable goods and cleaning areas.
• Take inventory of food, beverages and supplies for each day.
• Inspect cleanliness and presentation of dishes and silverware prior to use.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day.
• Dispose of used plates, utensils, and cups as necessary.
• Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisor.
