Job summary

Highgate Hotels' Residence Inn Salem is seeking a Breakfast Attendant to deliver friendly, efficient service in the hotel’s complimentary breakfast area. You will greet guests, maintain a clean, well-stocked space, and ensure smooth service to start the day.

You’ll support beverage and food service, assist with room service knowledge, and handle opening/closing duties, while adhering to brand standards and local regulations. A flexible schedule including evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred for the role.
• Willing to work a varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must meet legal age to serve alcoholic beverages and pass required training (TIPs).
• Able to obtain Food Handlers card as required by local regulations.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to perform tasks quickly and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Approach guests and colleagues in a friendly, attentive and service-oriented manner.
• Greet and seat guests in a timely fashion and ensure breakfast area remains clean.
• Maintain menu quality, cleanliness and appearance in all service areas.
• Restock and organize service areas; perform side work as needed each shift.
• Assist with beverage and food service including cleaning, dishwashing, and restocking.
• Support cashiering tasks, closing checks, and end-of-shift paperwork.
• Know hotel brand standards, menus, and current specials; respond to guest questions.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and participate in station rotations.
