Job summary

Haverhill Pavilion Behavioral Health in Haverhill, MA is seeking a Weekend Group Therapist to provide therapeutic treatment and counseling to patients, guiding them in acquiring skills to manage mental illness and co-occurring disorders.

Under licensed staff supervision you will document, develop and facilitate groups, support tasks, and assist with patient activities, while collaborating with nursing and treatment teams to promote recovery.

Qualifications

• Licensure or certification required or preferred (LMHC, LICSW, LCSW, LADC 1, OT, COTA).
• Experience in behavioral health or therapy settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with nursing staff and treatment teams to promote patients' treatment and recovery.
• Perform necessary documentation, develop and facilitate groups, and assist with patient activities under supervision of licensed staff.
• Formulate short-term goals and interventions for patients based on assessment results and align with long-term goals.
• Work with the treatment team to learn and teach patient needs and provide individual interventions for mental health or substance use disorders.
• Report and document any changes observed in condition, mood, affect or behavior of patients.
