Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking a Weekend Shift Aircraft Maintenance Technician in East Alton, IL to work on a variety of civilian aircraft. You will perform mechanical tasks, troubleshoot systems, remove and install panels, and assist with engine work in a fast-paced hangar environment.

Airframe or Powerplant license required; 0–6+ years in aviation maintenance preferred. Competitive pay, benefits from day one, and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Airframe or Powerplant license is required; Airframe license preferred.
• 0–2 years of aviation maintenance experience for AMT I.
• 2–4 years of aviation maintenance experience for AMT II; corporate aircraft preferred.
• 4–6+ years of aviation maintenance experience for AMT III.
• Airframe and Powerplant licenses highly preferred for AMT IV.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove/install panels and components; troubleshoot system issues.
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components; assist with engine work.
• Operate ground support equipment; communicate in English.
• Follow FAA guidelines and company safety rules.
