West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) at East Alton, IL. The role covers airframe and powerplant maintenance, inspections, and component troubleshooting across civilian aircraft, with opportunities to work on a variety of platforms.

The position requires FAA licensed credentials and a readiness to grow from AMT I to AMT IV, with responsibilities spanning engine work, system checks, and collaboration with a maintenance team in a fast-paced hangar environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Airframe or Powerplant license required (Airframe preferred).
• 0-2 years of aviation maintenance experience for AMT I.
• 2-4 years for AMT II; corporate aircraft experience preferred.
• 4-6+ years for AMT III; extensive knowledge in maintenance.
• 6+ years for AMT IV/Master; subject matter expert on corporate aircraft.

Responsabilités

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove/install panels and components.
• Troubleshoot aircraft system issues.
• Defuel aircraft and inspect components.
• Perform engine removal/installations.
• Operate ground support equipment.
• Maintain and repair shop facilities and tooling.
• Navigate manuals and training data using basic computer skills.
• Communicate effectively in English.
