Job summary

Compass Health Network is seeking an Admissions Counselor for weekends/swing shift at Royal Oaks Hospital. You will be the first contact for individuals seeking help, guiding admissions, scheduling assessments, and routing referrals to appropriate services.

The role emphasizes calm, empathetic communication, effective coordination, and adherence to confidentiality in a fast-paced behavioral health setting. Prior office experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• Associates/Bachelor’s degree in a human service field preferred.
• Experience in an office setting preferred.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions such as bending, lifting and transporting patients.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and provide information about hospital programs.
• Schedule assessments and coordinate referrals with clinical staff and outside agencies.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and team members.
• Maintain knowledge of hospital programs and admissions procedures.
• Support quality improvement and uphold patient confidentiality at all times.
• Stay current with required training and continuing education, including CALM and CPR certifications.
