Job summary

Compass Health Network's Royal Oaks Hospital is seeking an Admissions Counselor for the weekend and swing shift. You’ll be the first contact for individuals seeking help, guiding them through admissions and scheduling assessments.

This role requires strong communication, empathy, and the ability to stay composed in high-pressure situations. Schedule includes Saturday/Sunday 12:00pm–12:00am and Monday-Tuesday 3:30pm–11:30pm, with on-site work.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• Associates or Bachelor's in human services preferred.
• Experience in an office setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls with information about hospital programs.
• Schedule assessments and coordinate referrals with clinical staff and outside agencies.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and team members.
• Maintain knowledge of admissions procedures.
• Support quality improvement and uphold patient confidentiality at all times.
• Stay current with required training and continuing education, including CALM and CPR certifications.

As an Admissions Counselor, you’ll be the first point of contact for individuals and families seeking help, offering a calm and compassionate voice during moments of need. You’ll help guide callers through the admissions process, schedule assessments, and ensure referrals are routed to the appropriate services within our hospital.

Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

High School/GED required

Associates/Bachelor’s degree in a human service field preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE
