Job summary

Ivy Park at San Jose, a premier senior living community managed by Oakmont Senior Living, is seeking an Activity Assistant (Part Time) to organize and promote engaging activities and excursions that enhance residents’ independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities include supporting the Activity Director, recruiting volunteers, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment while coordinating with residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Must pass background check and health screening tests including TB.
• Ability to drive community vehicles and use MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist Activity Director to provide engaging, high-quality activities and excursions.
• Develop and schedule community volunteers for programs.
• Communicate with residents, families, and staff with tact and friendliness.
• Maintain a safe, secure environment following safety standards.
• Encourage team collaboration across departments.
