Job summary

Oakmont Management Group's Ivy Park at Escondido is seeking an Activity Assistant to organize, schedule, promote and direct community activities and excursions that enhance residents' independence and quality of life.

You will support the Activity Director, recruit and manage volunteers, communicate with residents and families, and help maintain a safe, engaging environment; a valid driver’s license and MS Office skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors preferred.
• Requires current driving license and ability to drive community vehicles.
• Proficient with MS Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating a rewarding social atmosphere through planned activities and events.
• Develop, recruit, manage and schedule community volunteers.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, colleagues and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe environment following established safety standards.
• Assist with driving community vehicles and support transport as needed.
• Encourage teamwork across departments.
