Job summary

Ivy Park at Mission Viejo is seeking an Activity Assistant to organize, promote, and direct activities and excursions that enhance residents' independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities include supporting the Activity Director, recruiting volunteers, and ensuring effective communication with residents, families, and staff. A current driver's license and proficiency with MS Office are required; background checks and health screenings will be conducted.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer one year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Current Class C license; Class B or Class C with Passenger Endorsement preferred.
• Able to operate a PC and be proficient in MS Office programs.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening, including TB tests.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in creating a engaging social atmosphere and promoting resident participation.
• Develop, recruit, manage and schedule Community Volunteers as needed.
• Communicate effectively and with tact with residents, families, visitors, coworkers and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe environment following established safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork across departments.
