Job summary

Oakmont Management Group’s Ivy Park community in San Diego seeks an Activity Assistant to organize and promote engaging resident activities and excursions. You will support the Activity Director, recruit volunteers, and foster a friendly, safe environment for residents and staff.

Requirements include 18+, a high school diploma, and MS Office proficiency; a valid passenger-endorsed license is preferred. The role involves driving when needed and coordinating events with a caring team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer one year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Requires current Class C license with Passenger Endorsement (Class B/road).
• Able to use a PC and MS Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in creating a vibrant social atmosphere and coordinate activities and excursions.
• Develop, recruit, manage and schedule Community Volunteers as needed.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors and staff.
• Maintain a safe environment and drive Community vehicles when required.
